Overview
Matix POS is a production point-of-sale application for retail and F&B workflows, built with Flutter across mobile, web, and desktop targets.
Problem
The product needed to support fast checkout, reliable product browsing, split payments, customer and delivery workflows, thermal receipts, and operation during unstable network conditions.
My role
I worked as a Flutter Developer on the production application, with focus on Clean Architecture, BLoC/Cubit state management, offline-first repositories, checkout flows, authentication, printer integration, observability, testing, and release readiness.
Technical challenges
The main technical challenges were keeping point-of-sale workflows reliable during active shifts, handling offline product and checkout data, enforcing payment rules, and integrating hardware receipt printing without coupling business logic to UI or device APIs.
Architecture decisions
The app uses feature-first Clean Architecture with domain, data, and presentation layers. Repositories use a try-remote-first and fallback-to-Hive cache pattern. Business operations are modeled as use cases, while presentation state uses BLoC/Cubit with typed success and failure states.

Future improvements
Future work can continue improving analytics around checkout performance, printer diagnostics, and advanced store-management workflows.
